How to Become a Nail Technician in Nevada
Nevada licenses nail technologists through the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology. The requirement is 600 hours of practical training at a licensed school of cosmetology. Two alternatives exist: a 1,200-hour apprenticeship in a licensed establishment, available only if you live more than 60 miles from a licensed school and train at a salon at least 60 miles from one (the Board can waive that for good cause), or 4 years of documented practice outside Nevada.
